It is important to note that we are not affiliated with any of the links provided; rather, they serve as options for consideration based on individual circumstances, preferences, time constraints, and financial factors that often influence decision-making.

 

Members of our team have personally derived benefit or expressed interest in some of these resources, prompting us to share them with you. Ultimately, the decision of what is best for you and what you can sustain lies with you alone. Our aim is simply to facilitate the commencement of your MOVE.ment journey.

THE 8 DIMENSIONS OF WELLNESS: Wellness is a multidimensional concept that encompasses various aspects of life, each contributing to an individual's overall sense of well-being and quality of life. Each of the eight dimensions of wellness is interconnected and by paying attention to these different facets we can strive toward a more balanced, healthy and fulfilling life.

INTELLECTUAL WELLNESS encompasses all aspects of wellbeing pertaining to brain health & growth via thought-provoking mental activities. 

EMOTIONAL WELLNESS encompasses the knowledge & skills to identify personal feelings & the ability to handle those emotions. 

SPIRITUAL WELLNESS encompasses all aspects of wellbeing pertaining to the search for purpose & meaning in life.  This may include the belief in a higher power, but does not have to be aligned with a religion. 

FINANCIAL WELLNESS encompasses all aspects of wellbeing pertaining to finances including knowledge & skills of financial planning & managing expenses.

SOCIAL WELLNESS encompasses all aspects of wellbeing pertaining to social connections, relationships & personal expression. 

PHYSICAL WELLNESS encompasses all areas of health related to physical aspects of the body, including nutrition, exercise, tobacco use, weight management, ergonomics, disease prevention & more. 

OCCUPATIONAL WELLNESS encompasses all aspects of wellbeing pertaining to personal satisfaction in your job or career. 

ENVIRONMENTAL WELLNESS encompasses all areas of health related to the environment and in turn, how the environment can impact human health, including eco-friendly considerations.
